Are you a Community Voice for stroke?

Community Voices

Do you represent the interests of stroke survivors or carers in your area and try to influence NHS decisions on stroke? Are you interested in using your experiences to help improve stroke services? If yes, then please join our Community Voices network.

Being a member of the network will give you access to the following:

  • regular updates on issues around stroke policy which may help you to be a more effective community voice
  • ongoing support in issues around patient/carer representation within the NHS (this does not include training).

The Community Voices Survey

The first phase of this project was to look at the experiences of people who are or would like to be involved in developing and planning stroke services in their local area.

We produced a report that is based on over 160 responses and reveals some interesting facts, such as that overall respondents were satisfied with their involvement but that satisfaction didn't translate into respondents feeling as though they had a high impact on services.

You can read more about the survey results or download the entire report here.

If you would like to learn more about this project please read our page on background information or email the Campaigns Team.
