Consultation on the Coronary Heart Disease and Stroke Strategy for Scotland
The Scottish Government launched a consultation on the Coronary Heart Disease and Stroke Strategy for Scotland on 31 July 2008.
The Government will fund production of an accessible version of this document for stroke survivors with communication difficulties. It is also expected to organise a national consultation event in October. More information about these developments will be available in due course from the Scottish Government's website
Perhaps you already intend to respond to the consultation. If not, we would like to encourage you do so, as we believe it is important that a wide range of views guide the development of stroke strategy in Scotland.
The Stroke Association is keen that our own response to the consultation is informed by the views of stroke survivors, unpaid carers and people working in the stroke or related fields. So please do share your views with us. Our response will acknowledge the contribution of individuals and organisations and you will still be able to submit your own response as well, if you wish to do so.
The closing date for responses to the Scottish Government is Friday 24 October 2008. If you would like to inform The Stroke Association’s response please send your comments to our Director no later than Friday 10 October. It would also be very helpful if you let us know whether you intend to support our response in this way as soon as possible, so that we can send you additional information which you may find useful.
