Door-to-door fundraising

What is door-to-door fundraising?

Door-to-door fundraising involves teams of fundraisers working in an agreed location, speaking to members of the public on their doorstep about The Stroke Association and signing them up to give on a regular basis by Direct Debit.

Why do you use door-to-door fundraising?

Door-to-door fundraising is a cost-effective effective way of recruiting Direct Debit donors. It allows us to talk to people who may not otherwise have the opportunity to support us and gives people the chance to ask us about what we do and how they can get involved in our work.

Is door-to-door fundraising regulated?

Door-to-door fundraising is regulated by the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA). They enforce a Code of Practice that our fundraisers follow at all times.

Read the PFRA Code of Practice on their website

Do you have permission to fundraise in my area?

Before we fundraise in any area we always get permission from the relevant local authority.

How do I know that a door-to-door fundraiser really works for The Stroke Association?

Our fundraisers always display an identification card. If you would like to verify the authenticity of a fundraiser please contact us on 01604 687778.
