Stroke shatters lives - Legacies help us rebuild them

Every year, The Stroke Association receives more than a third of its funds from legacies - gifts left to us in the Wills of our supporters. The smallest gift can make an enormous difference to someone whose life has been turned upside down by stroke.

Do I really need to write a will?

It’s essential to have an up-to-date Will to ensure that your estate benefits the people and causes you care most about. Be sure to seek professional advice when writing your Will, preferably from a solicitor. Spending a little time and money on sorting out your Will now could save your loved ones a lot of upset and inconvenience after your death. Alternatively, our new Free Will Scheme means that you only have to spend your time making a will. Find out more

Making a Will - Where do I start?

The Stroke Association has a free booklet, Making your Will, which offers practical advice on arranging your affairs. If you are considering including The Stroke Association in your Will, there are samples of suggested wording your solicitor or Will-writer might like to use as well as a Will preparation form so you have all the necessary information ready for your solicitor.
