Legacies protect the future
Legacies are gifts for the future; they help us to look ahead and plan our support and services for thousands of stroke patients, like Emma, in years to come.
Emma's story: her life after stroke
Emma suffered a stroke when she was just four years old. Her speech, movement and memory were all affected, and her confidence was shattered. We're pleased to say that Emma is making a very good recovery, but she may need emotional support for some time to come.
Mum, Tina, says: “I’m really proud of Emma, but sometimes I worry about the long-term effects of her illness and whether she’ll suffer a further stroke The Stroke Association was my rock when Emma was ill. Please help them to be there for other stroke patients in the future.”
