Campaigns

Our campaigns are incredibly successful in changing the way that stroke is dealt with in this country.

In October 2005 The Stroke Association launched the Stroke is a Medical Emergency campaign. It built a powerful consensus for stroke to always be treated as a medical emergency by the health service, and this is already having a direct impact on policy and practice.

This is just one example of our campaigning and awareness raising activities. Through our lobbying activities, the introduction of The Stroke Association Manifesto (307 kb) [pdf] and continuing work to increase the awareness of stroke we are moving closer to our vision of a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke get the help they need.

We can only bring about change thanks to the backing of supporters like you. Find out more about how you can fundraise for The Stroke Association or find out more about our campaigns.
