Donations
A donation to The Stroke Association’s vital work means you can be totally sure that you are supporting people affected by stroke up and down the country. We can work with you to identify the right piece of work for you to support and are able to keep you up to date with the progress your donation has achieved, and the number of stroke survivors whose lives have been affected for the better.
What you could help provide £1,000 could provide new beds, sheets and bed clothes for five stroke survivors who are no longer able to get upstairs to sleep in their bedrooms because of a disability. £5,000 pays for us to take over 330 calls to our helpline, helping someone in the aftermath of a stroke to get the support they so urgently need. £20,000 pays for us to undertake a research study which can help to ensure people affected by stroke get even better rehabilitation care.
Case Study - Next
Next have been a supporter of The Stroke Association since 2007, supporting in the past our welfare grants and research programmes. We have worked closely with Next to identify the areas they wished to support, sending updates on how the money has helped, and inviting key contacts to our events so they can see at first hand the work of The Stroke Association in action. Jeannette Cooper-Hudson, Charities Manager, Next says: “Next have really enjoyed working with The Stroke Association, and they have been able to make us feel really close to the work that we are supporting.”
