Do you fancy a bit of a de-clutter and want to help a charity? Then get on to eBay and help to support The Stroke Association.
It’s not just the start of a new year; it’s also the start of a new decade. A time for people to re-assess their surroundings and make a few changes.
Do you think it’s time you changed your TV for something to fit in with the ‘teenies’; feel like you’re ready to get that exercise bike or gym kit? Or is it about time you redecorated the bedroom you’ve been promising to do for the last few years?
If you’ve answered yes to any of the above then why not head to eBay, the online market place to find nearly everything you need to spruce up your home, help you get exercising or even to give yourself a little treat!
And not only would you be giving your life a lift, you could also be helping to support the thousands of stroke survivors and their families across the UK.
From the Friday 5 to Sunday 14 February 2010, all those buying any goods on eBay and paying through PayPal will be given the option to donate an extra £1 to The Stroke Association.
Ticking the box at the check-out will be helping to raise vital funds for our work – last year we managed to raise over £19,000 through the check-outs so it would be great if we could exceed this!
And if you are getting in some new stuff you may want to get rid of a few of the old things too.
Selling items on eBay is another great way to earn yourself some extra cash and help us too. You can donate between 10% - 100% of your final selling price to The Stroke Association. So you could get rid of that old vase that you never really liked whilst helping to provide hope to stroke survivors at the same time.
