eBay for charity

Since we began our involvement with eBay, we have raised over £53,000!

From asking sellers to donate between 10 per cent and 100 per cent of their final selling price to asking buyers to donate £1 whilst at the checkout, our fundraising success has been amazing!

We’re now moving on to the next level and we’d like to ask for your help in doing even more.

Starting on 1 September, eBay are launching and promoting their new feature ‘My Favourite Charity’.

This new concept will allow shoppers to select their favourite charity so they’ll be offered the chance to make a donation each time they buy or sell on eBay.

We’ve had some help from our celebrity supporter Graham Cole with putting together our promotional video on why The Stroke Association is his favourite charity – make sure you take a look.

During the launch, eBay will also be running a competition. The three charities that receive the most votes will win a grant with a top prize of £5,000 - this is where we would like to ask for your help.

Between 1 and 30 September, if you have an eBay account, please log on and choose us as your favourite charity. Then tell your friends, relatives, colleagues and anyone else you can think of to do the same so we can get as many supporters as possible! Not only will this help to improve our chances of winning the top grant, we can also boost the amount of funds raised on eBay through our increase in supporters!

And it's very easy to do. Simply click here and sign into your account and The Stroke Association will automatically be registered as your favourite charity!

If you don't have an eBay account it's easy and it's free. Just go to www.ebay.co.uk and sign up - and don't forget to choose us as your favourite charity straight away!
