Your Employees
We can help your company to unite its workforce and build stronger internal relationships through our expertise in employee fundraising, whether this be through a Charity of the Year partnership or through one off projects.
Stroke is a cause that so many people identify with, meaning that it gains a high level of support amongst employees. We are able to really capitalise on this support by supplying case studies, health awareness activities, stroke survivors to give talks to staff and a wide and varied menu of fundraising activities including walks, cycle rides, runs and abseils as well as bespoke activities designed for your business.
Case Study: Jones Day
The London office of Jones Day, one of the largest international law firms, chose the Stroke Association as their Charity of the Year for 2010.
Initially they were unsure how much they would be able to raise, however within just three months they managed to confound even their own expectations, and we feel they are on target to raise around £20,000 for The Stroke Association.
From the start we got their staff involved, bringing a younger stroke survivor to their office to talk to their employees about the realities of what stroke is like when you are in your thirties. We have also sent them information and guidelines about how to keep their own stroke risk low.
Our first event with Jones Day was a huge success. We challenged their staff to row 144km on a rowing machine in their office, and they got to 150km, raising £2,500 in the process. This is just one example of the get up and go attitude that has so impressed us!
Rosalind Connor, the Jones Day London pro bono partner says:
"We are delighted to have the Stroke Association as our first Charity of the Year. The cause has engaged staff at all levels, not just in organising and taking part in fundraising events, but also in raising awareness of the devastation caused by strokes and how quick treatment can make all the difference."
