Sponsoring our events

The Stroke Association’s events offer fantastic opportunities for companies to align their corporate messages with high profile awareness and fundraising events.

Our Life After Stroke Awards reward stroke survivors’ courage and resilience. The event offers a great opportunity to reward ordinary people for doing extraordinary things.

The Awards take place every year at a spectacular central London venue and offers great opportunities for sponsors. As well as branding and alignment with the ethos of the event, there are a lot of PR advantages - in 2009 the coverage reached 18 million people through regional and national press alone.

Our Night at the Opera with a performance from the DIVA Opera company has become an established part of the event calendar with a stellar guest list of high net worth individuals gathering for an evening of wonderful opera and to raise money for The Stroke Association. For four years we have been pleased to have Henderson Global Inverstors as the key sponsor.

The Thames and Tyne Bridges Bike Rides are fantastic events taking place every year giving keen (and not so keen) cyclists the chance to take in the breathtaking scenery along the banks of London’s and Newcastle’s rivers, whilst getting their friends and families to dig deep and sponsor them. This is a great opportunity for companies to be seen by over 2,500 cyclists, spectators and the media in events which everyone loves to take part in.

The UK Stroke Forum is the leading multi-disciplinary conference for stroke, with specialists from all across the industry gathering to share best practice. To find out more about opportunities, please visit the UK Stroke Forum website.

The Stroke Association has many other opportunities for sponsorship which we would love to discuss with you.

Case Study: Boehringer Ingelheim

Boehringer Ingelheim are a leading pharmaceutical company who have worked with The Stroke Association for several years.

In 2009 we worked with them to support their PREVENT initiative, which supports patients taking ongoing preventative treatments to adhere with their treatment routine.

In addition they were a sponsor of the UK Stroke Forum, and we were able to pull together a bespoke sponsorship package including joint named sponsorship, a satellite symposium and exhibition space.

Charlotte Eastlake, Boehringer Ingelheim, says:

“The Stroke Association have worked with us in a very strategic manner to ensure that our business aims are met through the partnership activities we have worked together on.”
