The Stroke Association's London to Paris Bike Ride 2008
What makes the London to Paris Bike Ride a great challenge:
- The route
We are one of the few charities that offer the Portsmouth route. This bespoke route takes you through Portsmouth, Cean, Bernay and finally on to Paris. This route is far prettier and much more cycle friendly than the Dover route. - Group size
We divide our participants into groups, depending on confidence and ability, to ensure that no one struggles with a pace that does not suit them. - Group leaders
Each group is led by an experienced guide, so there is no need to worry about deciphering French signs, and map reading skills are not required. - The distance
We offer a four day event, with three days of cycling to cover the 244 miles. The final 100 mile day means the ride is a challenge, even for experienced cyclists. But don't worry, it's something that everyone can achieve and really enjoy.
