How does it work?

A triathlon is an event which involves completing the challenge of a swim, a cycle and a run.

There are five entry levels in the competition, to challenge different sporting abilities, so there is something for everyone:

Super Sprint Distance: 400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run

Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Olympic Distance: 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run

Team Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run

Team Olympic Distance: 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run

Entry into the London Triathlon can be either on an individual or team basis.

Individual: One person is registered and participates in all three disciplines - swimming, cycling and running.

Team entry: Three people enter, each participating in one of the disciplines.
