The Thames Bridges Bike Ride

31/5/2009
Venue: London - Surrey
Type: Challenge

Fourteen bridges, 33 miles and one big challenge... Are you up for it?

Sunday 31 May 2009 sees the return of our flagship event, the Thames Bridges Bike Ride. This 33 mile sponsored bike ride follows The River Thames over 14 of London's famous bridges, taking cyclists from Tower Bridge to Hampton Court.

Whether you ride with friends, family, a gang from the office or on your own, the Thames Bridges Bike Ride is a great day out for a brilliant cause - raising money to help the 250,000 people who are currently living with stroke in the UK.

The route is challenging and varied, but something that everyone can achieve and enjoy.

From the start in central London, experience exhilarating city cycling through the historic city of London, followed by the picturesque towpaths of the River Thames before you end on a high at the finish in Hurst Park, near Hampton Court.

After the hard work…

…relax and celebrate! The day doesn't end after your 33 miles. Celebrate your achievement and make The Thames Bridges Bike Ride a day to remember. After the ride participants are invited to stay on at Hurst Park with their family and friends and enjoy the programme of entertainment on offer.

So why not be one of the 2,400 cyclists taking to the streets on Sunday 31 May to raise funds that will make a real difference to people whose lives have been affected by stroke.
