Please join us in congratulating Lucy Carter, our August Fundraiser of the Month.
Lucy’s Father had a stroke last year and it is this which has driven her to support The Stroke Association through organising her own calendar of events.
To date Lucy has raised a fantastic £1806.91 for The Stroke Association and a further £500 for Ashlands residential home where her father lives.
Lucy's calendar of events has included the three-peak challenge (in 25 hours), cookery demonstrations, a garden party, pub quiz, car boot sale and a sponsored abstain from alcohol!
It was Lucy’s birthday when she took part in her three-peak challenge and she managed to get a mention for The Stroke Association on Vernon Kay’s BBC Radio 1 show with her birthday request!
Lucy put her heart and soul into organising a very busy series of events in just two months. She far exceeded her target of £1000 and she has managed to help two worthwhile causes.
We would like to thank Lucy for all her commitment and support and present her with a Certificate of Achievement.
Lucy was nominated by the East Midlands Fundraising Team.
