International Man of Mystery Abseil raises over £90,000 for The Stroke Association

23 March 2009

Fort Dunlop abseil

The International Man of Mystery Abseil held at Fort Dunlop this weekend was a huge success.

We were joined by over 1000 participants and supporters who enjoyed the spring weather whilst abseilling 160ft to raise funds for The Stroke Association.

We were also joined by the Local News Team, Austin Powers wannabes and various Superheroes.

The atmosphere was electric as all participants successfully completed their challenge in true James Bond style.

The event raised over £90,000 for The Stroke Association which we think is going to beat our current record.

Thank you to everybody who joined us on the day. It was great fun meeting you all and sharing stories and making new friends.

Big thanks go to The Rock Centre, St Johns Ambulance, our Events Team, our amazing volunteers, photographer, Fort Dunlop and, last but not least, thanks again to everyone who faced their fears and raised funds for us.
