Volunteering in the East of England
There are many volunteering opportunities in the East of England and we would like to hear from anyone who wants to find out more.
Some of the roles that we are looking to recruit for are Administrative and Office volunteers, Information and Stroke Awareness Presentation volunteers, Life After Stroke volunteers and Fundraising volunteers.
Our Life After Stroke services include Communication groups in various areas, Information Advice and Support services and a Stroke Prevention service in West Norfolk. If you feel that you could help out in one of these areas do please get in touch.
For more information please contact our Regional Centre on 01284 760006 or email EastAnglia@stroke.org.uk
We have also started a network of Stroke Association Voluntary Support Groups in the region. Currently these groups operate in Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Ipswich, Maldon, Downham Market, Peterborough, Bury St Edmunds, Beccles, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Breckland, Eye, Wymondham and Hunstanton and new volunteers are always welcome.

Some of the newer groups in the region which include Beccles, Great Yarmouth, Wymondham and Suffolk need people who would like to form part of the committee, especially organisers, chairpersons, people who would be willing to do some of the administrative tasks, people who could look after the group finances and also volunteers who would like to help in the group setting.
If you feel you can help out please contact our regional office on 01284 760006.
Our Fundraising team organise many events throughout the East of England where participants and helpers are always needed. Can you get involved? If you feel that you can please email Tam Marshall or contact George Burroughs on 01284 749 650 or 01284 760 006.
