Sip for Stroke in Spring – Spring 2012

Sip for Stroke 2012

Invite your friends, family and work colleagues to help change lives and have fun this Spring! Hold a coffee morning or tea party and support The Stroke Association.

You can 'Sip for Stroke' anywhere, at your work, in your home, in your school or in your local village hall or with any community group you are part of.

As well as charging for hot drinks, why not hold a bring and buy sale, a bake-off, cake sale, raffle or auction, to maximize the funds you can raise for The Stroke Association.

Bath Half Marathon 2012 – 11 March 2012

Bristol half marathon

The Bath Half Marathon is one of the UK's leading road races. The race is one of the most popular running events in the UK and takes place in one of the most beautiful cities in the country, with its Georgian architecture and buildings and Roman Baths.

Now that the public ballot is closed, The Stroke Association is appealing for runners to apply for Gold Bond places for the Bath Half Marathon, on Sunday 11 March 2012 to run for the UK's leading national stroke charity.

The Bath Half Marathon is also considered one of the best and most timely runs, as it is a great warm up for the London Marathon and Brighton Marathon.

The flat course crosses both banks of the River Avon. It starts and finishes on the stunning Georgian boulevards of Great Pulteney Street.

To qualify for a Gold Bond place you have to pay an administration fee of £39 and pledge to raise a recommended £175.

The Stroke Association would also like to hear from those runners who have managed to secure a place in the ballot and want to run for the Stroke Association.

For more information and to book a Gold Bond place, contact Chris Welch on 0117 953 1200. Email chris.welch@stroke.org.uk
