The Stroke Association's main focus is to support people who have had a stroke and their families. We do this by providing information and community services.
As well as our national Stroke Information Service and Welfare grants scheme, in England and Wales we offer:
- Family and Carer Support Services - to give practical information and emotional support to the families and carers of people who have had a stroke
- Communication Support Services - to help people with communication difficulties after a stroke.
In Northern Ireland, Speechmatters in Northern Ireland offers services to support people affected by aphasia.
