After a stroke

Strokes change lives. They can have a devastating effect on individuals and families. This section helps you find support that is available for stroke survivors and their carers in The Greater London Region.

Family Support

Family Support is a visiting service that gives practical information and emotional support to the families and carers of people who have had a stroke.  We help families prepare for the changes that inevitably happen because of a stroke, and make sure they are able to cope - both physically and emotionally.  The service can also help people who live alone.

The Stroke Information Helpline can put people in touch with Carers Groups, The Young Stroke Co-ordinator and Social Stroke Clubs in the London Region.
