Local Campaigning
We are keen to involve as many people affected by stroke as possible in campaigning for improved stroke services. We encourage our stroke clubs and community services to join The Campaigners Network. If you are interested in finding out more about how to get involved in one of our local or national campaigns then you may find The Campaigners Toolkit useful.
Our current national campaign, Lost without Words is calling for all stroke survivors who have a communication disability to have access to the support that helps them regain or replace these vital skills.
The Lost Without Words Campaign in London was launched from one of its Communication Support Service groups, where everyone was invited to join in and learn about how stroke can affect communication.
We also invited an MP to our Lewisham Stroke Club, where the members were able to raise awareness of the campaign and highlight the need for Communication Support Services in the borough.
