Dyscover
Dyscover is a support group for people affected by communication problems following a stroke. They meet each week, Mondays to Thursdays from 10am-12:30pm, and have two venues:

  • Crown House Mews, Chequers Lane, Walton on the Hill, KT20 7ST
  • Crescent Resource Centre, Blagdon Road, New Malden, KT3 4TA


They offer a programme of activities which include supported conversation groups, special interest groups, discussions, creative activities, guest speakers, family support, exercise, outings and other complimentary therapy.

Egham Friendly Club
Meets each Monday from 10am-12pm at Hythe Social Centre, Thorpe Lea Road, Egham, TW20 8BN
The club provides social and recreational activities including games and outings. Some transport can be provided.

Esher and District Stroke Club
Meets on Thursdays from 10am-12pm at Arbrook Hall, Arbrook Lane, Claygate, Esher, KT10 0AR
The club enjoy exercise sessions as well as social and recreational activites such as art, reading, music and poetry. Some transport is available.

Haslemere Stroke Club
This lively club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 2-4pm at Holy Cross Hospital, Hindhead Road, Haslemere, GU27 1NQ
The group provides physiotherapy as well as social and recreational activities including games, talks by guest speakers and outings.

Guildford Onward Club
Meets weekly on Mondays from 2-4pm at Malthouse Court, The Street, Shalford, Guildford, GU4 8BJ
This group provides social and recreational activities including outings, games, raffles and talks by guest speakers, as well as some speech, occupational and physiotherapy. Transport is available.

Smallfield Stroke Club
Meets each Wednesday from 10am-12pm at the Church Hall, Redehall Road, Smallfield, Horley, RH6 9QL
This group offers social and recreational activities including talks by guest speakers, entertainment and outings. Some transport can be provided.

TALK Surrey
This is an independent organisation providing support for people in the Guildford area who are affected by communication problems caused by stroke. They currently hold six group meetings on a weekly basis at the following locations:

  • Day Centre, Manor Road, Walton on Thames 
  • St. Catherine's Hall, Guildford
  • Education Centre, Ashford Hospital 
  • St. Catherine's Hall, Guildford
  • The Vyne, Knaphill, Woking 
  • Cranleigh Hospital, High Street, Cranleigh

Walton Stroke Group
Meets on Mondays from 10am-2pm at Walton Day Centre, Manor Road, Walton on Thames, KT12 2PB
The group provides talks, entertainment and other recreational and social activities, as well as some physiotherapy in the form of chair bound exercises.

Weybridge Centre Stroke Group
Meets weekly on Mondays from 10am-12pm at Weybridge Day Centre, Churchfield Road, Weybridge, KT13 8DB
The group organise social and recreational activities such as talks by guest speakers and outings. Some transport is available.

Woking Strokeability
This group provides support in the form of weekly exercise sessions and also provides a counselling service. They meet twice a week at two different venues. On Tuesdays an aqua session takes place from 11:30am at LA Fitness, Horsell Moor, Arthur's Bridge Road, Woking, GU21 4NR. Then on Saturdays they hold an Aerobics exercise session from 3pm at The Woking Homes, Oriental Road, Woking, GU22 7BE.
