Stroke clubs
Stroke Clubs are local groups for those affected by stroke, including stroke survivors and carers. They aim to provide a regular meeting place for people to come together and share their experiences as well as opportunities to take part in a programme of activities.
Clubs meet in a variety of different places but aim to provide parking facilities, to be wheelchair accessible and to have space for activities. Refreshments are always available.
Stroke Clubs are run by groups of volunteers and are self financing. There are over 500 clubs across the UK, and you can find a Stroke Club in your area by selecting your region from the list on the left hand side of this page. Or you can contact our helpline on 0845 30 33 100 or email info@stroke.org.uk
The Stroke Association recognises the important role of stroke Clubs and the vital work they do in their local communities. We try to support Stroke Clubs through our Affiliation Scheme, National Conference, a programme of regional networking days and the Partnership in Fundraising initiative.
We also work with Stroke Clubs to raise awareness of stroke and to campaign for a better stroke health service. Find out more about how your group can get involved by visiting our Stroke Clubs and campaigning page.
