UK Stroke Club Conference 2008
Dates for 2008 have been announced. The conference will be held on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 September at the Ramada Resort Birmingham. More information will be available soon.
National Stroke Club Conference 2007
On 13 September, representatives from 45 Stroke Clubs took part in the second annual Stroke Club Conference. As well as bringing groups together to share ideas and learn from one another, the conference also provides an opportunity to hear about the latest developments in stroke care and support.
The focus this year was on the National Stroke Strategy for England with Helen O'Kelly from the Department of Health speaking on the consultation process. The conference also welcomed Professor Thompson Robinson from the University of Leicester, who spoke on the value of stroke research and some of the questions and challenges that researchers are working to address.

The conference was pleased to hear from speakers for Haywards Heath Rainbow Stroke Club, Warrington Stroke Club and the Manx Stroke Foundation. Delegates were also able to find out about a variety of organisations with stands at the exhibition.
