Resources

With over 500 Stroke Clubs across the UK, there are a lot of ideas and experiences that groups can share and learn from one another.

There are lots of ways that The Stroke Association helps groups to share what they do, including the UK Stroke Club Conference, regional newsletters, and regional networking days.

On this page, you can find other ideas and resources from both The Stroke Association and stroke support groups that you can download and use in your group.

If you have any resources you think would be useful to others group, then email them to Stroke Clubs.

Regional Training Days 2011

Throughout 2011, The Stroke Association will be running training days on a range of topics in each region of England and Wales especially for affiliated Stroke Clubs and The Stroke Association Voluntary Groups. There will be five courses offered:

  • meeting the needs of your members
  • supporting members with communication difficulties
  • how to make sure everyone knows about your group
  • protecting vulnerable groups members, and
  • easy ways of dealing with health and safety.

Places on the training courses are free if your club is affiliated or a Stroke Association Voluntary Group, with just a £10 refundable deposit required per person, per course to secure a place. Follow these links to:
