Stroke Association Support Groups

There are over 500 Stroke Clubs in the UK providing support to 15,000 people who have been affected by stroke.

The Stroke Association works to support these groups. In 2007 The Stroke Association started its own network of Stroke Association Support Groups. These groups are run by local people for local people, and enable The Stroke Association to continue its work towards ensuring that all those affected by stroke have the support and information they need.

Working under the umbrella of The Stroke Association, these groups provide peer support to those affected by stroke in their local area. They work alongside our Rehabilitation & Support Services and benefit from being part of the only UK charity working solely with those affected by stroke. These groups, along with independent Stroke Clubs, continue to ensure that all stroke survivors, their carers, friends and family have access to the support they need.
