Stephanie Hinton, Secretary of the Quatt Village Hall Committee, just outside Bridgnorth in Shropshire, organised a team of walkers to take part in the annual Bridgnorth Sponsored Walk. This challenging 22 mile walk started on Bridgnorth High Street and proceeded to the summit of Brown Clee Hill and back again. The team, pictured below, chose to walk in aid of The Stroke Association and worked hard to raise sponsorship.
Over 3,000 local people took part on a windy Bank Holiday Monday and a member of Stephanie's team came in second overall and first in the over 40's category. The walkers are now busy collecting in their final sponsorship money and will be presenting The Stroke Association with a cheque from all their fundraising. We would like to thank Stephanie and the team for all of their hard work towards this magnificent achievement.

Parry Bowen chooses The Stroke Association as
Charity of the Year
This year sees The Stroke Association being very well supported by Parry Bowen's who have chosen us as their Charity of the Year. The company, who are based in Burntwood near Cannock, choose a charity each year to benefit from a year of fundraising activities.
The fundraising year was launched with 50 employees meeting Stroke Association staff to have their blood pressure tested and find out more about stroke and the work of The Stroke Association. Everyone from senior management to office staff and production operatives were given the chance to find out about their blood pressure and how this can affect a person's chance of having a stroke.
