Neglect
Ignoring one half of the body or field of vision (neglect) is a common symptom of stroke that needs careful attention in the rehabilitation process
Neglect is a common symptom after stroke and the patient themselves will often be unaware of it. It is particularly common when the stroke affects the right side of the brain. It is likely to make the rehabilitation process more difficult. Just as with other impairments, neglect usually improves with time and therapy.
