Help in local areas
Where is my local Stroke Association?
The Stroke Association does not have local branches as such. However, there is a network of stroke clubs across the country. The clubs are organised locally and independently. They offer the opportunity for people affected by stroke to get together to socialise and share their experiences.Call the Stroke Helpline to find out about local services or have a look at the regional section of the website. We will try and help you find any local services that you need.
The Stroke Association continues to set up local Communication Support Services (running communication groups for people with aphasia) and Family and Carer Support Services (providing information and emotional support to people who have had a stroke and their families and carers). We have 10 regional offices in England and Wales, plus a base in Northern Ireland with Speechmatters and a new office in Scotland
Our leaflet The Stroke Association also has information about all the work that we do.
