After a stroke, as long as you feel well enough and your GP has no objections, there is no reason why you should not take a holiday. In fact, a change of scene can be therapeutic. Accessibility can sometimes be an issue though and individual needs are often more easily met by companies offering specialised holiday provision. This factsheet will give you some ideas for who to contact for information and how to arrange a holiday if you are disabled or are not in good health.
