Tiredness after stroke is very common. It is often described as one of the silent symptoms after stroke that can be overlooked by the medical profession, but which can have a significant impact on a stroke survivor’s well-being.
It is thought that the recovery and rehabilitation process that a stroke survivor experiences contributes to feeling this way. It is also the case that older people tend to feel more tired, along with those who felt tired prior to having a stroke. Sometimes medical conditions such as diabetes can also have an impact.
