A stroke is a brain attack, caused by blood being cut off to the brain.
It's the UK's third biggest killer and leaves many more people severely disabled. But emergency treatment can make all the difference.

We're not asking for money, just a minute of your time to learn how to spot the warning signs. Our FAST Forward email campaign will teach you how.

F	A	S	T
Face weakness Can the person smile? Has their mouth or either eye dropped?	Arm weakness Can the person raise both arms?	Speech problems Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?	Time to call 999 Any one of these symptoms could indicate a stroke.

If you suspect a stroke, call 999 immediately.

The Face, Arm, Speech, Time test (FAST) is used
and recommended by paramedics and The Stroke Association.
