Autumn 2007
This issue draws attention to the importance of research funded by The Stroke Association. Professor Anne Forster explains how her work as a researcher aims to get the best quality of life for stroke survivors, and we highlight some of the research projects that we are currently funding. We also explain the role of our Stroke Information Service in ensuring that people affected by stroke have access to high-quality information.

To tie in with Carers Week, this issue of Stroke News investigates the needs of people who are caring for someone who has had a stroke. We also meet Valerie Upton, who tells us how caring for her husband has brought them closer together. We also set out new research into treatment in elderly and care homes.

Spring 2007
Welsh broadcaster Owen Money talks about his journey back to the world of entertainment after his stroke, and we shine a light on our Turkey and Tinsel weekend, which gave some stroke survivors a festive holiday on Hayling Island. We also discuss how partnership between organisations is increasingly important in dealing with aphasia and set out ways in which you can make keeping fit fun.
