Summer 2007
The summer issue of Stroke News looks into the role of carers. It includes an interview with carer Valerie Upton, who talks about all the changes that have to be made to adapt to life after stroke, and the importance of giving stroke survivors and their families and carers the information that they need.
There are features on the needs of carers, and the results of a survey which highlighted the main impacts that becoming a carer can have. The issue also includes tips for carers and an article on how The Stroke Association has created a new Volunteering Strategy to support its volunteers.
