Campaigns
A stroke is a very serious health issue which more people need to be aware of. It is also important that there are better services for people who are affected by strokes, and that help is available to those who need it.
The aim of our campaigns is to make stroke prevention, treatment, care and research a priority for governments and health authorities.
Recent campaigns include:
- Lost Without Words - to highlight the needs of stroke survivors who have a communication disability
- Stroke is a Medical Emergency - to raise awareness of signs of stroke and the importance of dialling 999
if these signs are suspected - National Stroke Strategy - to influence development of the Department of Health's Stroke Strategy for England by lobbying for world-class quality in stroke services.
