Get involved

Volunteers and campaigners are an integral part of what we do – We believe that everyone has the right to make the best recovery possible after a stroke. Our volunteers and campaigners are vital. Whoever you are, your skills, time and passion will make a huge difference.

You can join the stroke community in 6 different ways:

Fundraise for stroke

The money you raise funds the vital work we do. You can fundraise at home, at work and in your community. From tea parties or bike rides to fire walks. There will be a type of fundraising that suits you.

Work with stroke survivors

Stroke is devastating, and stroke survivors need your support on their road to recovery. You can support our staff and work with stroke survivors with one to one support, group activities and communication support.

Speak up for stroke

Help to get stroke the attention that it deserves. Sign up to the Supporters' Network or share your experience of stroke by representing the Stroke Association in the media.

Help to prevent stroke

Stroke can and should be prevented. By giving talks or running a ‘Know Your Blood Pressure’ event, you can help people understand their risks and what they can do to prevent a stroke.

Tell us what matters

We focus our efforts on doing what matters most to people affected by stroke. You can tell us what’s important to you by joining one of our consultation or involvement groups. Your contributions will help us do more for everyone affected by stroke.

Help us run smoothly

Lend us your business skills by providing essential support to our strategic function at our offices across the UK. We offer internships, special project work and business support opportunities.
