Volunteering

Welcome to volunteering at the Stroke Association!

Volunteers are at the core of what we do and without you we just wouldn't be able to offer the range of services and support that we do. Whether you are raising awareness, fundraising, talking to the media, supporting people affected by stroke in your community or leading other volunteers we believe that by working together we can change the world for people affected by stroke.

You will also have your own reasons for volunteering and we'd like to know what they are. If we know why you want to get involved it helps us make sure that we find the right role for you. That is just as important and helps us provide you with a meaningful and worthwhile volunteering experience.

"I love volunteering for the Stroke Association. They make me feel valued and useful and I know I am doing something worthwhile."

Still not sure? Then why don't you watch the video below and find out why other people have decided to volunteer for us and what they get out it or read some of their stories.

Interested? If you would like to find out more about the variety of roles that are available either download our leaflet Join The Stroke Community or have a look at the What roles are there? page. Then use our opportunities search to find out what is available in your area. Please be aware that not all roles are available in all places.

We're for life after stroke and by donating your time as a volunteer you can be too! We look forward to you joining the team.
