Communication Support Co-ordinator

Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £16,841 to £20,441 per annum
Hours per week: 28 hours worked over four days (Fixed term contract until 31 March 2013)

Job description

This service focuses on re-ablement and works with stroke survivors and carers living with the effect of stroke and communication difficulties to create opportunities, develop communication strategies, rebuild confidence and get back to life after stroke.

Ideally with knowledge and experience of stroke or disability, you will be working in the community, facilitating small groups of support and recruiting, training and managing volunteers.

A key part of the role will be to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals. Importantly you will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with an innovative approach to service delivery and commitment to providing a quality service.

You will need excellent administrative skills and the ability to use your car as part of your business travel remit.
