Life After Stroke Awards 2005

12 May 2005

On 26th April 2005, The Stroke Association held it's Life After Stroke Awards at the London Hilton, Park Lane. The star studded event was a huge success with celebrities such as Barbara Windsor and Honour Blackman presenting awards to the winners. A touching ceremony included video footage of the winners and speeches as they received their awards.

The event generated extensive media coverage including an interview on GMTV Breakfast and LK Today with Sue Ross, the Adult Courage Award (18-54 years) winner. This resulted in a massive 354 calls to our Stroke Information helpline that day and 50 subsequent calls later in the week.

The day was enjoyed by all and it is hoped that this goes some way to show that there is life after stroke.
