The Stroke Association response to Atrial Fibrillation guidelines

10/10/2006

Joe Korner, Director of Communications for The Stroke Association comments:

"At least 50,000 strokes could be prevented every year in the UK through controlling high blood pressure and treating atrial fibrillation.

"These new guidelines will provide GPs and other healthcare professionals with an essential tool to identify and treat the condition early on, reducing the number of people having strokes each year."
