Use your head to help stroke.

26/02/2003

WHETHER it's a bowler, a beret, a top hat or a fez, pull it out the cupboard and on top of your head for Grand Hat Day to help the country's leading stroke charity. The Stroke Association is holding its third annual Grand Hat Day on Friday March 7th and David Shilling, one of this country's most respected and distinctive milliners, is encouraging readers to get involved.

David has put together his Top Hat Tips and urges readers to 'get creative' and design their very own Grand Hat for the day. The less creative types can still join in the fun by holding themed events such as mad hatters tea parties and hat swap shops. More ideas and suggestions will be inside The Stroke Association's fundraising pack.

David Shilling says; "Wearing hats is tremendous fun and there really is a hat to suit everyone, whatever the occasion. Grand Hat Day is an excuse for everyone to enjoy themselves, perhaps try something new, and at the same time help raise vital money for The Stroke Association. I do hope you'll join me!"
