Over the last 20 years The Stroke Association has been working to develop and improve stroke services with the best health and social care providers across the UK. We currently deliver over 220 rehabilitation and support services across England and Wales.

We are a Charter Mark accredited organisation.

Health Promotion aims to reduce the expected number of strokes in the community by providing evidenced intensive follow-up and support to at risk individuals and their families.

Family and Carer Support provides information, emotional support and practical advice to people affected by stroke, and their families and carers.

Communication Support is for stroke survivors and their carers, to continue re-enablement when speech and language therapy ceases.

The Community Integration Service aims to reduce isolation, and help individuals adjust to the physical, psychological and social adaptation of stroke-related disability.

Counselling and emotional well-being, dealing with cognitive deficits and vascular dementia support activity. This area requires specialist stroke knowledge and as the leading charity in stroke we are advised by the top 80 stroke experts in the UK. Contact us for more information

The Black and Minority Ethnic Group Service is designed to provide information, advocacy and support services to people of Black and Minority Ethnic groups who are affected by stroke.

The Long-term Support Service is designed to reduce social isolation, promote emotional well-being and confidence, and encourage people towards self-help and individual responsibility for their own health.

The Day Service aims to provide life-long learning opportunities for people of working age who have had a stroke.  

Developing brokerage services and enabling access to personal budgets for stroke survivors and their families. Over 20 years The Stroke Association has worked with providers of care in meeting individuals needs.
