The Stroke Association is the only national charity dealing with stroke in people of all ages.  We work closely with a wide range of professionals including physicians, allied health professionals, researchers, primary care and social care commissioners.

Our services
The Stroke Association is the largest provider of specialist stroke rehabilitation and support services in the UK. We currently deliver over 220 community based rehabilitation and support services across England and Wales.

Our range of services are designed to provide:

• Family and Carer Support 
• Communication disability support groups 
• Counselling and emotional well-being dealing with cognitive deficits and vascular dementia support activity
• Stroke survivor and family services
• Developing brokerage services
• Re-enablement back into the community 
• Supporting re-enablement through vocational rehabilitation
• Secondary prevention and access

Research
Research is vital if we are going to reduce the incidence of stroke, increase our understanding of the best treatment and long-term care for stroke survivors, and improve the quality of life for people affected by stroke.
