E-learning programme launched

We are pleased to announce that you are now able to access The Stroke Association’s e-learning programme ‘Stroke is a medical emergency’.

The £10 course includes information about:

  • what a stroke is and types of stroke
  • prevention - the risks we all face
  • the history of stroke care
  • thrombolysis, and
  • FAST.

Upon receipt of your Username/Password , you have three months in which to complete the training and once the assessments have been successfully completed, we will send you a certificate at pass or distinction level.

We do not suggest this should be used in place of our traditional face to face teaching programme, but for a quick fix on stroke ‘first aid’ we think this is well worth a look.

You can access this programme by registering on-line

‘This package was extremely useful and very interesting - I have passed the details to my manager in the Ambulance Trust and will be encouraging its widespread use as CPD type training for Community First responders in the East of England at least’.
