The following are training and education programmes offered by The Stroke Association, those marked with a * have been mapped against the Skills for Health National Occupational Standards: Caring for people affected by stroke* Caring for people affected by stroke - What next* Stroke is a medical emergency* Stroke Management and Care Course This programme has been validated against NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care; each delegate receiving a certificate with the knowledge evidence met listed on the back.
About us
The ‘Caring for people affected by stroke’ programme is now delivered across the country to all staff members working in hospitals, social services as well as care homes. We plan the days to suit you and can offer flexibility of content and delivery.
As well as ‘Caring for people affected by stroke’ carrying the NVQ validation we have also mapped several programmes against the Skills for Health National Occupational Standards, with competencies listed on the back of the certificate.
