Evaluation of The Stroke Association Research Portfolio

Over the past 15 years The Stroke Association has spent over £26 million on the highest possible quality stroke research across the UK. In order to inform the 2007 revision of the research strategy an analysis of this funding has been carried out.

This analysis has two parts:

  • a quantitative analysis of how the funding has been distributed over award types, research areas and geographical areas
  • a qualitative analysis evaluating the outputs and outcomes of the different types of funding awards.
