Research and Development Strategy Consultation Report

To inform the development of the 2007 Research and Development Strategy, in addition to the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of past funding the opinions of stroke professionals and stroke survivors and their carers were sought in an extensive consultation exercise.

The consultation involved a discussion meeting, held on 6 December 2006, at the UK Stroke Forum Conference in Harrogate, together with a postal and email consultation consisting of a written consultation document and questionnaire. Stroke professionals were welcome to participate in either part of the consultation.

The opinions of stroke survivors and their carers were sought during consultation sessions held in London, Southampton, Nottingham and Leeds in early 2007.
