Medical Professionals

Applications are invited for Clinical Research Fellowships, which will be awarded jointly by The Stroke Association and Medical Research Council.

Closing date: 20 January 2011
Short listing: May 2011
Interviews: 29 June – 01 July 2011
Take up dates: August 2011 – January 2012

If no award is made in this round, one will be offered in Round 2 2011/2012.

Fellowships offer up to three years support, and are intended to provide an opportunity for clinically trained individuals to undertake training in stroke research.

The scheme is designed to accommodate the dual clinical-research training career path by allowing Fellows to spend up to 20 per cent of their time on NHS sessions. Fellows are required to register for a research degree, normally a PhD, based on research undertaken during the Fellowship.

Further details, application forms, terms and conditions, and instructions for applicants are available from the MRC Website
