Clinical Trial Project Grants
Research grant applications are welcomed in this funding category for research which involves the recruitment of patients into a study that incorporates a randomised controlled trial or clinical trial of a drug or intervention.
Projects which have a developmental phase followed by a trial phase should be submitted in this category.
Applications for this category must be submitted on the Clinical Trial Application Form which can be downloaded below. Applications will not be accepted on old forms or on the project grants form.
In addition to the Clinical Trial Application Form, applicants must complete the Plain English Summary Form. It is also essential that the Guidance for Applicants is read prior to completion of the forms.
Please note the Guidance and Conditions of Award have recently changed.
Applicants may wish to contact the Stroke Research Network prior to application submission, as detailed in the Guidance for Applicants.
Grants are limited to a maximum of £70,000 per annum for up to three years (up to a maximum of £210,000). The Stroke Association can only fund research conducted in the UK.
