Developmental Research Project Grants

Research project applications are welcomed which focus on areas that fall outside the remit of Community Care (non-hospital based long-term care), and do not incorporate randomised controlled clinical trials.

Projects which have a developmental phase followed by a trial phase should not be submitted in this category, they should be submitted to the Clinical Trial Project Grants category.

Applications for this category must be submitted using the Project Grant Application Form. In addition, applicants must complete the Plain English Summary Form. It is also essential that the Guidance for Applicants is read prior to completion of the forms.

Please note the Guidance and Conditions of Award have recently changed.

Applicants may wish to contact the Stroke Research Network prior to application submission, as detailed in the Guidance for Applicants.

Grants are limited to a maximum of £70,000 per annum for up to three years (up to a maximum of £210,000). The Stroke Association can only fund research conducted in the UK.
