Allied Health Professional Research Bursaries

Young stroke girl getting help with learning

Every year The Stroke Association awards two Allied Health Professional Research Bursaries, to provide a nurse, therapist or other health professional with an opportunity to train towards a career in stroke research.

These bursaries play a significant role in increasing the number of researchers involved in stroke research, particularly rehabilitation. This will enable stroke research to expand in the future, and the more research that is undertaken the more patient care will improve.

Awards are made to institutions that can provide a high quality research training programme and appropriate supervision to equip a trainee for a career in stroke research.
